What do teens work on with Taylor?
Sessions focus on strength, mobility, balance and good technique. Taylor teaches each movement step by step, so teens learn to squat, hinge, push and pull safely and with control. That foundation supports school sports, dance and everyday activity, and it builds habits that last.
Is strength training safe for teenagers?
With good coaching, yes. Taylor puts technique before load, adjusts every exercise to the athlete in front of her, and progresses gradually. Before starting, it’s a good idea for your teen to get a check-up and an OK from her doctor, especially after an injury.
Can training help with sports?
Many young athletes train to get stronger, move better and lower their risk of injury. Taylor builds each plan around your teen’s sport, season and schedule, with a focus on strength, technique and control rather than exhausting workouts.
Do parents need to be involved?
Yes. Teens under 18 train with a parent or guardian’s consent, and parents are encouraged to join the free consultation to talk about goals, schedule and any health history. Taylor’s focus with teens is strength, technique and confidence, not weight loss or dieting.
How much does personal training cost?
Teens train in the same private 1-on-1 sessions as all of Taylor’s clients. Packs of 20, 30 or 40 sessions cost $120 to $160 per 1-hour session, and the current Fall Fitness Special offers 30 sessions at $95 each. See Rates.
